Ground Control · Form.verk

Sedentary days, serious training, one limitation that keeps coming back.

Ground Control is a 12 week biomechanics focused coaching programme for people who spend much of the day sitting, but whose training and hobbies still demand mobility, strength and physical capacity.

It is built for the people who keep losing momentum because recurring pain, restricted movement or an old injury stalls their progress in the same place every time.

01The pattern

Why people arrive here

You sit. You train. The same problem keeps returning.

Most people arriving here have already done the sensible things. The limitation still comes back.

In the gym

Your lower back takes over during squats, hinges or leg training, and you feel it long before your legs are finished.

Week to week

Hip restriction keeps changing which exercises feel available to you, so the programme you wrote keeps quietly rewriting itself.

The old injury

Something from years ago is no longer acute, and it still shapes what you are willing to load and how you set up for it.

The short fix

Deloading, stretching and swapping exercises help for a while. Then the same limitation returns in the same place.

The cycle

Progress keeps stopping and restarting, even though motivation was never the thing that was missing.

The honest caveat

Sitting is rarely the whole story, and recurring problems do not all share one biomechanical explanation. That is what an assessment is for.

02The coach

Who you would be working with

I am Josh, founder of Form.verk. For years, I dealt with recurring injuries that repeatedly interrupted my training.

Josh, founder of Form.verk

Gaming took up most of my time growing up. RuneScape, World of Warcraft, the early Call of Duty games, Counterstrike. During these years I discovered my passion for the gym and continued these hobbies alongside it. However, years of sitting for hours on end had left me with a postural predisposition that carried over to my training. Rather than starting with a neutral base, I was loading a compromised structure.

The injuries, and what I found

Lower back pain had me changing exercises, skipping leg days, taking time off the gym entirely. Then scapula pain, then a cervical herniation, each appearing on its own rather than one leading to the next. Trying to work out why problems kept turning up in different places, I found the thing underneath them. What I had taken for a lateral pelvic tilt was a full body postural bias. My left hip sat higher, my left pelvis in front of the right, my left shoulder followed it, sitting higher than my right. My torso twisted right. Suddenly it all made sense. Why certain exercises simply felt off, why injuries kept appearing in particular regions, why my bar path never felt straight, and why when I reracked a barbell it was never centred.

Like most people, I tried targeted static stretches. I would feel better for a day, then wake up exactly as I had been. That led me to Conor Harris, and to understanding that these problems were only symptoms of a pattern. I learned how areas of the body relate to each other, and how to choose exercises from what an assessment shows rather than treating each painful symptom on its own.

I began treating my own case as I would a client. I assessed range of motion, recorded a baseline, tested each exercise against the change it produced and rebuilt my gym work around the movement I was trying to restore. Today I lift five times a week, boulder regularly and have not had a lifting injury in years.

Ground Control is built on the method I was taught, applied the same way every time. Every plan begins with assessment, progress is checked through measurable changes and corrective work develops into the gym programme itself. If your presentation falls outside what remote coaching can responsibly support, I will tell you and recommend the appropriate next step.

03The method

How the programme is built

Everything is built as one system.

Ground Control starts with how you currently stand, move and train. Your corrective work and your gym programme are then designed together, by the same person, from the same findings. The aim is to restore access to movement, strengthen it, and carry it into the training that matters to you.

Three part progression

01

Reorient

Find a better starting position.

Your assessment identifies the movement options your current pattern restricts. The first stage restores access to the positions that are missing for you.

02

Occupy

Build the side you cannot fully access.

You learn to shift into and use positions your body currently avoids, then begin carrying that option into more demanding movement.

03

Integrate

Use both sides without losing either option.

The final stage brings those options into movement and training so the change can hold under the demands of your normal programme.

Each stage is built on the range of motion the previous one restored.

How the process holds itself accountable

You see the reasoning

Every exercise choice follows from a specific finding in your assessment, and I tell you which one. You should never be handed a list without knowing where it came from.

Form review checks what is actually happening

Video review checks how the plan is being performed, and not only how it was written. A programme on paper and a programme in the gym are two different things.

04The outcome

What you are buying

Over 12 weeks, you will measurably improve the movement and training markers connected to your recurring problem so you can return to consistent progress in your training and sport without repeatedly working around the same limitation.

Markers are agreed with you at the start, before anything is built. Every one of them is measurable, and you get a copy.

05Twelve weeks

The programme, drawn to scale

Four assessment points across twelve weeks.

Reassessment is the structure of the programme. Each one is retested under the same conditions and each result decides what happens next.

Baseline

Assessment

Three photographs and your recorded self assessment. Your markers are agreed and written down before anything is built.

Week 4

First reassessment

Retested cold. The result decides whether you move on or we work out what is holding it up.

Week 8

Second reassessment

The same tests under the same conditions. Each result decides the shape of the next block.

Week 12

Final reassessment

Compared against the markers we agreed at the start. This is where the guarantee is decided.

Each reassessment decides whether you progress.

06Guarantee

The conditional guarantee

If your markers have not improved, I will continue to train you at no additional cost.

Complete the full programme, follow the agreed plan and submit your check ins and reassessments. If the movement and training markers we agree at the beginning have not measurably improved by your final reassessment at week 12, coaching continues for one additional six week period at no additional cost, with the same calls, messaging support, form review and programme updates. That period ends with another reassessment.

Participation conditions apply, and the full conditions are provided before enrolment. This is a promise of measurable improvement for a suitable and participating client. It is not a promise to cure every cause of pain or injury.

08The route in

How the remote assessment works

Six steps from application to programme.

  1. Apply and complete a 30 minute suitability call.
  2. If accepted, submit three posture photographs and videos of the guided self assessment.
  3. I review the material before meeting with you.
  4. Discuss the findings, goals and training structure on a 60 minute results call.
  5. Receive the integrated corrective and gym programme.
  6. Train, receive support and reassess progress across the 12 weeks.

No assessment happens on the suitability call, and no payment is taken before it.

09Investment

Founding investment

Ground Control is available to six founding clients.

$1,200

For 12 weeks

Or three monthly payments of $400.

Why application comes first

Ground Control depends on assessment material, consistent participation and regular reassessment. The application and suitability call confirm whether the process suits your goals and current situation before any payment is taken.

I am taking six so every client gets my full attention.

You have 14 days from enrolment to cancel without giving a reason. If you ask me to begin work inside that period and then cancel, you pay only for what has already been supplied. Full cancellation terms are provided in writing before you enrol.

Questions

Before you apply

Questions people ask first.

Is Ground Control physiotherapy?

No. Ground Control is biomechanics focused coaching and performance support. It assesses how you move, identifies limitations and builds training around them. It does not provide a medical diagnosis and it does not replace necessary medical care. Where a problem needs clinical assessment or hands on treatment, you will be referred.

Can I apply if I am not a man?

Yes. The assessment, the principles and the way your programme is built stay the same whoever you are. Form.verk speaks primarily to desk bound men who lift because that is who the content is written for, and the coaching itself is identical either way. Anyone for whom the programme is suitable may apply, and that is decided through the application and the suitability call.

Do I need access to a gym?

Your programme is built around the equipment you actually have, which is confirmed during the application and intake. Most people on this programme train in a gym, and the loaded stages work best with access to one.

What if I have a diagnosed injury?

Mention it on the application. Some answers trigger a manual review before any call is offered, which is a safety step rather than a rejection. Recent trauma, planned surgery, rapidly worsening symptoms and several other presentations need medical assessment before remote coaching is appropriate, and you will be told that directly.

How much time will the programme require?

The programme is built around the training time you already have. Corrective work is designed to sit inside your existing sessions rather than becoming a second workout. Add a 45 minute coaching call every two weeks, and reassessment at baseline and at weeks 4, 8 and 12.

What happens after I apply?

Your application is reviewed. If Ground Control looks appropriate, you are invited to book a 30 minute suitability call. If something in your answers needs closer review first, you will hear back within one business day.

Why is there a suitability call before payment?

Because it protects both of us. The call covers what has been affecting your training, what you want to change and whether this process fits what you need. It is a conversation with no obligation attached, and no assessment happens on it.

What does the guarantee cover?

If you complete the programme, follow the agreed plan and submit your check ins and reassessments, and the markers we agreed at the beginning have not measurably improved by your final reassessment at week 12, coaching continues for one additional six week period at no additional cost. That period includes the same calls, messaging support and form review, and it ends with another reassessment.

Participation conditions include completing at least 80 percent of your prescribed corrective and gym sessions and keeping session records as you train. Full conditions are provided before you enrol.

Can I pay monthly?

Yes. The programme is USD $1,200 in full, or three monthly payments of $400. The payment plan is a way to spread the fixed programme price, and it ends automatically after the third payment.

What time zone is coaching delivered from?

Messaging hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm ICT (UTC+7), and messages are answered within one business day. Calls are booked around your schedule.

Stop rebuilding your training around the same limitation.
